Q: Who can attend St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School's Preschool and Pre-kindergarten programs?
A: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School Kindergarten Readiness Program includes both Preschool and Pre-kindergarten classes. Children must turn 3 on or before September 1st and be fully potty-trained. Pre-Kindergarten is our Kindergarten Readiness Program. Children must turn 4 on or before September 1st and be fully potty-trained.
Q: Do my children have to be Catholic to attend?
A: No. Although St. Francis is a Catholic school affiliated with our tri-parish communities, the school accepts children of all faith backgrounds.
Q: What is the class size?
A: Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes will be limited to 20 students with a lead teacher and a teacher's assistant, who are both teacher qualified.
Q: Do the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students wear uniforms?
A: No. Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students wear comfortable play clothes and close-toed, rubber-soled shoes (Tennis shoes are preferred).

Instruction and activities using Pocket Preschool curriculum are used starting in the 4-year-old classes to further prepare for Kindergarten.
Q: Is St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School Accredited?
A: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School is fully accredited by WASC/WCEA. All staff in the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Program possess the required Early Child Development units or Early Childhood Certificate/Degree. Teachers and aides are also trained in CPR and First Aid.
Q: Can I send my child half-day or part-time?
A: We offer only Full Day programs for both Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten. Preschool has the option of 3 Full Day or 5 Full Day programs. As the parent you have a choice of modifying your child's attendance, however, you will be fully charged for the program your child is enrolled in.
