Student Council

The St. Francis of Assisi Student Council promotes good citizenship, encourages a high standard of scholarship, exemplifies a spirit of pride within our school, demonstrates the practical application of democracy, and contributes to the general welfare of the school and community.


Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to participate on the Student Council.  Students in grades 7-8 can also serve on elected positions called the Board of Commissioners.  Each May elections are held. Students who choose to run for a Board of Commissioners offices are responsible for creating campaign posters and writing and delivering a compelling speech regarding their qualifications.

Open House Tour Guides
Recycling Program
Spirit Rally
St. Nicholas Day festivities
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Valentine Candy Gram Sales
Weekly Community Prayer

Annual Student Council Thanksgiving Food Drive

 

The annual Student Council Thanksgiving Food Drive will take place in November.  The food drive benefits our three parishes (Santa Clara de Asisi, St. Martin de Porres, and San Antonio de Padua).

Students are asked to bring the following:

Pre-K

canned vegetables

Kinder

boxes of jello

1st Grade

rice

2nd Grade

boxed potatoes

3rd Grade

Top Ramen and macaroni and cheese

4th Grade

canned pumpkin and canned apples

5th Grade

canned and packaged soups

6th Grade

packaged pasta and sauces

7th Grade

canned gravy and cranberry sauce

8th Grade
