Congratulations to the St. Francis of Assisi Academic Decathlon Team for their participation and for placing third in Logic at the North Orange County Mock Decathlon. This event helps to prepare the team for the actual Diocese of Orange Academic Decathlon to be held on March 4, 2017 which will include all diocesan schools.
The logic portion of the competition is a collaborative team event consisting of 20 rigorous critical thinking problems. Traditionally the most difficult, a high performance in this area indicates a strong showing overall.
The ten member team includes students from grades 6-8. They have been studying since last October, dedicating many hours per week with their coaches and fellow decathletes. As the decathletes enter their final six weeks of study, we invite you to pray for strength and perseverance for our team. Mark your calendars and join the St. Francis community on March 4 at Santa Margarita High School for this exciting event.
