Welcome to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School!  What a privilege it is to serve here as your school Principal.  We often reference the “Spirit of St. Francis” and you only need to step foot on campus to experience the charism of our patron campus-wide.  I love Catholic education as it allows us to minister to the whole child as we build disciples for the kingdom of God.  Our staff, faculty, and administration are committed to the growth of all of our students academically, physically, emotionally, and most important spiritually.  We love to partner with our parents as the primary educators of faith in the home.  As a tri-parish school, we are blessed with pastoral leadership from Santa Clara de Asis, St. Martin de Porres, and San Antonio de Padua Churches.   We believe in giving back to the parishes and local community through campus-wide community service projects throughout the school year.  We hope you will choose to be involved in the good work happening on and off-campus!

I bring an educational background that began with a love of understanding our humanity.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Long Beach State University, and a Masters of Science in Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from California State University Fullerton. I had the privilege of providing counseling services at St. Francis of Assisi School for eleven years.  As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I worked in private and public schools for over fifteen years providing individual and group counseling. I desired to contribute to educational leadership so that I could increase my ability to support the staff, students, and families in a larger capacity.  I returned to school while serving on the Administrative Team at La Purisima in 2012-2013. In 2013, I earned a Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University and began serving Full-Time on the Administrative Team at St. Francis of Assisi School in 2013-2014 as an Assistant Principal.  My dream was to one day be the Principal of St. Francis and God blessed me four years ago with a “yes”!

This is my 19th year at this beautiful school and I am thankful for every day on campus!  Thank you to all the parents, students, and faculty for working together to make this school a place that many can call their educational home.  We look forward to an amazing year where we continue to set our beloved school up for success for generations to come!
