About the Teacher

Welcome to the 2019 - 2020  school year! I am looking forward to a great year!

I am beginning my twenty-eighth year of teaching, my twentieth  year at St. Francis of Assisi, and my seventeenth year as eighth grade homeroom teacher! I love learning and love teaching! I am thankful to be at St. Francis  where I am able to share my faith. Eighth grade is a wonderful year filled with exciting opportunities and preparation for high school.  I can't think of another career or place I would rather be!

I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona and completed my teaching credential there as well.  I participate in professional growth and enjoy reading and learning to help be the best I can be for my students. I serve as the Religion Coordinator for St. Francis of Assisi, and I am an Apple Teacher.

I live in Yorba Linda and I am an empty-nester again.  Luckily I have a faithful dog who keeps me company!  All of my children are graduates of St. Francis of Assisi and Mater Dei High School. My son Sam is 29 and is teaching history in a public high school in the East Bay area. He is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. My daughter Katie is 26 and is also gainfully employed!  She graduated from St. Mary's College in Moraga and moved back to Yorba Linda from the Bay area.   My daughter Sarah is 24 and graduated from San Diego State with undergraduate degree and completed the masters program at Chapman University in the Speech and Language Pathology program. She is starting her career in as an "SLP" in a school in San Diego.  I am a member of Santa Clara Parish.

In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with family, walking/hiking, and visiting the beach.

I feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful community!
