About the Teacher

Welcome to 6A! I feel so blessed to be teaching 6th grade at St. Francis.  Teaching is my passion!  I have been involved in education for 30 years.  Before coming to St. Francis, I taught in the Placentia-Linda Unified School District for 11 years.  Later I continued my work with students as a K-8 substitute for the Placentia Unified School District for 5 years.  In 2009, I spent a few days as a substitute at St. Francis. I fell in love with the campus and students. This is my 10th year at St. Francis of Assisi School
My Catholic faith was nurtured through my 12 years of Catholic education.  After high school, I attended the University of California at Irvine, where I earned a Bachelors of Arts in History.  That next year, I earned a Multiple Subject K-8 teaching credential at the University of California at Irvine.  Later, I received my Masters in Education from the United States International University in San Diego.  It is truly my pleasure to be part of the incredible staff at St. Francis. Teaching is truly my passion!
My husband Hal and I have been married for 24 years.  We are the proud parents of Nick, age 23, who is a mechanical engineer, and Haley, age 19, who is a junior Education Major at the University of Portland.  Also, we are huge Servite fans as my husband and son are alums...CREDO!  You might catch us at a  Servite football game cheering on the Friars.  We are also huge fans of the ROSARY ROYALS and the UP PILOTS! When not in the stands, you will find me hiking on trails, going to the beach, watching movies, or planning my next trip to see another part of the world. My favorite past time is doing anything that involves spending time with close family and friends. The last member of our family is 9 year Max, who doesn't realize that he is a dog.  He is an adorable and sometimes mischievous Maltese-Yorkie.
I am looking forward to an amazing year with my new sixth-grade class!!!
