Who is Mrs. Carpio?

I am a product of Catholic education, having graduated from St. Cecilia elementary school and Mater Dei High School (go Monarchs!), so I know the sacrifice it takes to keep your child in a Catholic school setting because my parents worked very hard to provide me with the great education that I received at my schools.  I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for the past 18 years (working as an aide while attending college and then in the teaching capacity after I graduated) and have worked with every age from infants up to school age children.  My heart has always been in teaching the Pre-K age level, as it is my favorite time of growth and development.  My teaching career at St. Francis of Assisi began in 2008, when I started out as a classroom aide to the current Pre-K teacher, and the following year I was given the opportunity to be a Pre-K teacher.  This was tremendous news for me, as it was always my dream to teach at a Catholic school, and I have been happily teaching here ever since.

My husband Ed is a web developer/graphic designer/daddy extraordinaire.   Our daughter, Sophia, is in First grade this year at St. Francis, and our daughter Olivia is in Pre-K!  They are the light of our lives and a beautiful testament to the fact that God is good all the time and that miracles do exist.  We also have 2 fur babies, our Shih-tzu's Roxy and Marley.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to travel, go to Disneyland, the movies, the beach, and the park - we just love being outdoors!  We are parishioners at Santa Clara de Asis.
