A Little About Me
A little bit about me . . .
I love teaching. I probably love teaching because I love learning! I also love being part of the St. Francis community!
I have been teaching in Catholic school for 20 years, and I’ve taught all ages from kindergarten to 8th grade. During that time I was a 4th grade teacher, 7th grade teacher, Spanish, P.E., literature, and social studies teacher. In Catholic schools we get to do it all!
I am blessed to have been born and raised here in Orange County. I am one of 7 children, and my parents put 7 of us through Catholic education all the way through high school. What an accomplishment, right?! My husband, Mark (Servite ‘75) and I continued this dedication and put our 3 daughters through St. Joseph School and Rosary (High School) Academy. In fact, the schools did such a good job, all three girls continued into Catholic colleges/universities: Notre Dame, the University of San Francisco and Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame. As lifelong learners our daughters are pursuing graduate studies, as well, from Boston College, Northwestern University, Columbia & LSE. Mark and I are so proud of them!
After graduating from Rosary High School, I attended Cal State University, Fullerton and earned a bachelor degree in Spanish. After working several years in the legal field, I began my career in teaching and earned a master degree in education from Concordia University in Irvine. In my free-time I enjoying sewing, reading, genealogy, and I quilt every chance I get! I also love high school and college football so the Fall is my favorite season!
