Last year St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, in collaboration with Faith and Family Collective, started a tradition of setting a theme for the year to build faith in our homes. It is challenging in our current culture to keep our families rooted in faith without coming together as a community. We feel it is important that we provide tools to support our parents in being the primary educators of faith. Through the generosity of a grant dedicated to Catholic Identity for our families, St. Francis sent home boxes yesterday and today entitled “Come to the Table.” The box contains a special plate, napkin, pen, prayer cards and other materials to use at the family dinner table. We want our students and their families to utilize these items to invite Jesus to dinner. To guide our SFA families, Pam and Jyllian will be joining us this evening to break open our theme and will offer “food” for the soul. Parents, treat yourself to an hour well worth your time!
