School Mass on October 2, 2020

We are excited to host our first school Mass of the 2020-2021 school year tomorrow morning, Friday, October 2 at 10:00 am.  Mass will be held on the field at St. Francis.  Only students who would normally be on campus this day will be attending Mass.  This includes students in the Green Cohort as well as K-2 students and Grade 4 students who are on campus five days a week.  For those students who are virtual tomorrow, we will be live streaming the Mass on our Facebook page.  It is not necessary to have a Facebook account to access our page at https://www.facebook.com/SFAYL.  If Facebook is not a viable option, we will also be recording Mass and uploading the video to our Student Council page at sfayl.org after it is complete.  Parents are encouraged to join us for the live stream or watch the Mass recording.  Unfortunately, we will not be allowing parents to attend Mass on campus at this time.  Social distancing precautions will be in place for those students attending Mass.  We require that 3rd Grade and up wear a mask (K, 1, and 2 are strongly encouraged to do so also), students will be seated 6 feet apart outdoors, and Communion will be brought to Mass attendees rather than having a line.  Please remind your students that we are all working together to keep our school safe and open.

We anticipate high temperatures and will not be requiring that Mass uniforms be worn tomorrow.  Students may wear spirit wear or regular uniforms, including shorts, tomorrow.

We will be announcing our September FIAT Awards for the character trait of Respect at our Friday Morning Community Prayer Service on October 9 at 8:10 am.  Once again, we encourage the community to view this event through our Facebook page or the Student Council page on our website (found by clicking STUDENT LIFE>STUDENT COUNCIL).
