Founded through the vision, faith, and generosity of the communities of San Antonio de Padua and St. Martin de Porres, and Father Seamus Glynn, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School began as a dream to provide exceptional Catholic education in Yorba Linda. Following years of planning and dedication, ground was broken on November 2, 1997, and the school opened its doors in 1998. Named after St. Francis of Assisi, our patron saint inspires us to live lives of faith, service, compassion, and stewardship while nurturing the whole child—mind, heart, and spirit.

Today, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School is a thriving Preschool through Eighth Grade community serving approximately 580 students from 365 families. Our beautiful hilltop campus features innovative learning spaces, including an Innovation Center, STEM Lab, advanced math labs for 4-8th, “LUPO” Learning Support Center, Glynn Center Hall, Catholic Identity and Youth Ministry office, Counseling Center, and outdoor learning environments. Through rigorous academics, faith formation, technology integration, fine arts, athletics, and service opportunities, we prepare students to become Christ-centered leaders committed to excellence.

As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide a transformative Catholic education that empowers students to grow in faith, knowledge, character, and service. Building upon a rich legacy that celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School continues to inspire future generations to make a positive impact on the world while living the Gospel values exemplified by our patron saint.
